The Career Immersion & Leadership Institute (CILI) is on a mission to elevate the academic and professional experiences of BIPOC college students enrolled in 4-year or graduate programs. By connecting students to paid internships, CILI facilitates a dynamic exchange of experiences that not only builds skills and competencies but also contributes to the growth of the New Orleans Region and the great state of Louisiana. The institute is dedicated to retaining talented graduates in the region, nurturing their leadership potential, and creating a lasting impact on talent development for years to come. Through programs like HIRE LEARNING$, Career Bridge, and the CILI Fellowship Program, the institute ensures that students have access to valuable resources, professional mentors, and paid internship experiences. Since 2021, the fellowship program has equipped over 70 BIPOC college students with essential skills, connections, and experiences, leading to successful placements in their desired careers. CILI has collaborated with more than 22 local employers who support improved Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices and share in our mission to provide students with professional development and meaningful, compensated employment. |

CILI Fellowship Each year, CILI welcomes a cohort of nearly 40 fellows for a year of personal and professional development. Our goal is to ease the transition from academic to adult life by arming you with the skills and experience you need to succeed in the workplace. CILI offers fellows a safe space to gather with peers and professionals invested in your success, provides one-on-one soft skill coaching, and hosts monthly full-team workshops and discussions on a range of topics including Interview skills, Resume building, Workplace etiquette, LinkedIn Networking, Time management, and more! |
We also help place our Fellows in paid summer internships at industry-leading employers across the state of Louisiana. Since 2021, nearly 90% of our fellows have completed paid internships at more than 20 different local employers, with many then receiving internship extension or full-time job offers. |

Career Bridge Program
Career Bridge is a transition support program for the Louisiana Educate Program (LEP) students and/or select CILI participants with 90 or more credit hours toward degree completion or with an anticipated graduation date of Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024.
