About the Competition

Career Immersion & Leadership Institute's Regional Business Case Competition brings together students from colleges and universities across Louisiana to tackle a real student business challenge for a local small business. As a regional case competition in Louisiana, student teams work with a faculty sponsor, receive professional coaching, and present their recommendations at Pitch Night, with support from corporate sponsors invested in developing the next generation of business talent.

Competition Details

Student teams from regional colleges and universities compete to deliver real-world solutions to a local small business.
Each student team must have a faculty sponsor to participate.
A local New Orleans business in need of business scaling assistance is selected through CILI's economic development partners.
Teams attend a briefing session to meet the business owner and ask questions.
Students have four weeks to develop a strategic plan with support from a professional coach.
Teams present their plan during Pitch Night in November 2026.
A panel of business leaders and the business owner judge the presentations.
